As a colleague, I have yet to hear a single student speak poorly of Melissa or her classes. She seems to captivate students and ignite a passion for economics from within them which is astonishing for me considering my personal hatred for the subject (my economics high school teacher was very bland). She is currently my head of department and has been very effective at making sure that I meet planning deadlines and has been providing me with great words of wisdom and training. I look forward to gliding through this academic year with ease under her guidance.

The best teacher in my life!!! Although I am in the university right now, I still miss her teaching style. She is part of the reason for me to choose to study economics in the university. To me, she is not only a teacher but also a good friend which encourages me to overcome all the difficulties when I am confused sometimes. By the way, I miss Mia so much!!!!

Mrs.E is not only an awesome teacher but also a good friend.
During the class, she always explain the knowledge by telling the examples and stories to let students know the point clearly. Also, she can always come up with the special ideas, assignments, or events to make the students interest about economics. For example, once Mrs.E asked students to change the lyrics of whatever English songs that students like to the economics knowledge.
After classes, she is always patient to answer students’ questions. Moreover, Mrs.E is more like our friend, she is very kind and she can comprehend us. When we have problems, she always can handle these for us.

Melissa is really a quite good teacher in my high school. She teaches us Economics, and because of her humorous language and examples of living close to life, we soon learned about the textbook. Also, she is our good friend, and when she knows that we are going to study in Canada, she is willing to take up her time off to tell us about what needs to be noticed in Canada, and this benefit me a lot. As a teacher, she also has the strict attitude of teachers. In order to improve our English, she strictly requires that we can only speak English in class. This has improved our English level. I respect her very much, and she also respects students very much. She is our best – Mrs. E!

I have been Mrs E’s student for 3 years before. Though we all know economics classes usually are very boring, she always uses some interesting ways and activities to make complex concepts to be clear in the class. To be honest, she is the most responsible teacher I never met before. If students do not understand one question , she will explain to them no matter spends how many times. Also, she changed me a lot because anyone in her class has the opportunity to do many kinds of meaningful presentations. This task will improve students communication skill and equip the ability to collect huge sea of resources. I miss her very much and if your ‘s children become her student you should feel relieved and 100 percent trust her!

Mrs. E is one of the teachers who I will never forget. She taught me economics for two years and business for one year. Her class was so engaging that made all of the students take part in. In stead of teaching us the basic rules of ecnomics, she let us to do a lot of fun assignments , such as doing economics music video, creating your own business inside the school and making news posters. All the hard work she did really made me be more and more interested in economics and make lots of progressions.

Mrs. E is a nice teacher. She is skillful in teaching and able to provide guidance. In her classes, she cited many examples and made up some fascinating stories to help us comprehend those complicated terms. Also, she sometimes invented some little games and activities to help us learn better. We always have many presentations and group works. As a result, I have become more confident and able to share my ideas and cooperate with my teammates. Sometimes, we needed to analyze economic cases. This helped us to develop critical thinking skills.
After all, Mrs.E is a respectful and skillful teacher. I hope all of you will like her and her teaching styles.

Mrs Melissa only taught me for a year when I was in high school. Nevertheless, She opened the new world of economics for me. She pointed my mistakes and told me how to make them right. She always worked tirelessly to train my patience. Her continuous encouragement is my greatest motivation. what moved me even more was that she helped a lot when she knew I was going to go abroad to study in Toronto, her hometown. I am proud to be a student of Mrs Melissa.

Although Melissa and I did not teach the same subjects, we taught some of the same students. It was evident from the beginning, how dedicated and hard working she was. She was extremely organized and well prepared. She made an active effort to break down information in a very difficult AP course and present it in a different more understandable manner. She had great repoire with the students, and truly cared about their learning. As a colleague, she was extremely dependable and wonderful to work with. Very rarely does one come across a teacher who has the same passion for teaching as Melissa does. Any school would be very lucky to have her as part of their team.

Melissa worked at Choueifat in Egypt with both my husband and myself. She was a positive upbeat teacher who gave it her all. She was diverse and always willing to go the extra mile to make a difference for students. She took her talents and mixed it with more education to be a true asset to the teaching field. Her real life experiences helped her be a better teacher. She worked part time for my husband as a PE teacher and was a true inspiration. She started the dance unit at Choueifat by first getting trained as a dance instructor , then proceeded to get more kids involved than we had ever seen before. If hired, I know she will be a big asset to any school.

With all the things Ms Melissa taught me, I can’t thank her enough. She helped me work hard, and also to do what I love. She never gives up on her students, no matter how lazy or unhelpful they were. She’s one of the few teachers who don’t only teach you material and that’s all, but she actually teaches us what we need to know for our futures. I’m truly grateful for what she did for me, helping finally choose a major I love.

I had the pleasure of being taught by Mrs Melissa, she was my business and human geography teacher. I loved these two subjects from the amount if interest and enthusiasm she showed us in class. Mrs Melissa had her own technique in teaching where you get the info you need and love the subject at the same time. I think I am lucky to have such an enthusiastic teacher.

Ms. Melissa only taught me for a year. Even though I spent such a short time with her, she helped me with both my academics and my future plans. Ms. Melissa taught me one of the hardest subjects to teach in our school, Human Geography. Not only did she succeed in getting the class to understand the most complex subjects, but she would also free up her time for anyone who had a hard time understanding the chapters. Its safe to say that Ms. Melissa is one of my all-time favourite teachers. She helped me with so much, not just with academics. Ms. Melissa is one of the best teachers that I have ever come across and each day I hope to find another educator like her or has similar qualities, at least.

Ms.Melissa is one of the most inspiring teachers I have ever met. She taught me Business for only one year, and I really have come to know a lot about it, because I understood it, and I didn’t just memorize it for the good grades. She made us WANT to know the material. She made us think through Business problems logically, constantly pressuring us to reach our full potential with the subject and not just take the easy way out. Not only that, she also provided us with a project, where we would create our very own product and market it and it turned out to be a lot of fun with her immense amount of support. Up till this day, where we’re in university, we still look back to that project and she still asks us for lip gloss! (our product). We all miss you so much here and hope to see you soon! <3

Where can I begin… Melissa is an amazing teacher, colleague and friend. I have worked with her for 2 years and saw her passion towards teaching; she never gave up on her students and always searched for better methods to deliver information. She would go beyond the curriculum to teach students how to relate what she is teaching to real life. I remember that one day she walked in my office with a paper with a long list of all possible vacancies available for Economics graduates, that was because her students simply asked her “what is if out there for Economics graduate.” She would not be satisfied with just saying whatever comes up on her mind instead, she would get the real information and present it to them. Another example, we wanted to make Business studies interesting for the students and I asked her for help. I wanted the students to relate the subject to real life experience by doing a research on a product, in less than 2 days she came up with the perfect project; that the students should create their own products and market it. It was so much fun that we made it part of the course! Melissa was not only a great teacher but also an amazing colleague/friend; she would always help whenever needed and she would do it with a smile, always positive and always by my side. I can go on forever on how amazing Melissa is and how much I learned from her, she was always there for me and rarely that I meet people like her; well structured and made my life so much easier as her coordinator, I never had to worry about anything delegated to her. It was a real honor working with her. I will always appreciate the good impact she had on my life. I simply love her for how amazing she is <3

Melissa was a student teacher in my department at Sir John A. Macdonals SS for four weeks. She taught grade 9 Information and Communication Technology and grade 12 International Business. It was very obvious from the beginning that Melissa is a natural teacher. Her busness knowledge, willingness to share and strong teamwork skill are far beyond most first year teachers. Above all this, the students really like her approachable nature and willingness to help. Melissa is an outstanding teacher.

I had the pleasure of working as one of Melissa’s Associate Teachers and I have to say that I was extremely impressed by her seamless transition into the classroom. She was able to connect with the students from the first day and her wealth of experiences travelling and working in various parts of the world allowed her to bring the curriculum to life through personal stories. She is a very diligent worker and has an exceptional ability to put together digestible and engaging lessons. She does an excellent job using technology from presentation software to audio/video use and I witnessed first-hand the tremendously positive impact her lessons had on student engagement and overall learning. In my opinion she is not only ready for the classroom today, she will be an incredible asset to the institution who is fortunate enough to hire her.

Mrs. El Sombati is one the most qualified teachers to have ever taught me. Besides delivering information efficiently in order to help me do well on tests, she has provided me with invaluable counsel and guidance. Mrs. El Sombati is concerned with all aspects of her students’ lives not just those relating to academics and I can safely say that while I learned a lot from her about Economics, I have learned more from her about what it means to be a good person.

Honestly speaking, Miss Melissa is the best teacher that ever taught me. Not only did she explain all concepts efficiently, but also gave us real life examples that relate to what we’re studying. Her answers to our questions were very clear and logical that it was impossible to go out of class confused about a concept. Having a teacher that has a working experience with the subject being taught makes a very big difference. Miss Melissa made me get excellent grades in my economics course. She also made me very passionate about the subject . I truly wish her all the best.

I had the pleasure of having Melissa as my student teacher for 4 weeks at SJAM in Waterloo, Ontario. She was wonderful! Not only did she plan an entire Publisher Unit for my business tech classses, but she made her lessons fun and relevant. She engaged the students with trivia, used current ads to show them how to create effective flyers and she helped out in extra curriculars while she was with us. The students miss her already! Mrs Melissa taught me not as her student who would graduate and might or might not pursue business, but as a future functioning member of society. She is without doubt the most compassionate person about her work and students, she is serious when she needs to be and she has always had the time even if it meant going over her head to help a student who is struggling with his studies. I don’t know what it is about her but she has always noticed when a student is stressed out and struggling and i don’t mean study wise, it is as if she has the instincts to know whether or not her students are struggling . I am not exaggerating about her capabilities she is by far and without doubt the most exquisite; self accomplished mentor and devoted friend. I am proud, lucky and honored to have been taught by such an extraordinary person. I am proud to call myself a student of Mrs Melissa El Sombati.

Although Mrs. Melissa taught me for one year only, it was a great opportunity to have her introduce me to the world of economics. She was entitled to achieve the goal of not only making us ace exams, but actually care about and understand how we affect the economy. Her teaching methods were extremely effective yet simple. Her attitude towards us, her students, was of great positiveness and acceptance too. Her personality makes her a great role model.
